Hi I am trying to trace members of my mothers family. Her maiden name was Margaret Beckers. She was born in 1921 and was an identical twin to Thelma. They were bought up in Southfields in London. Some of their siblings names were Ada, Len, Ron (lived in Twickenham or Richmond) and Eileen (lived in Plymouth) my mum and aunt were I think 8th and 9th in the family. Their siblings were all quite a bit older than them, so much so that they had nieces and nephews older than themselves. Their father worked on the barges on the Thames. When I started college in 1971 in Barking I remember my mum visiting a relative in Barking. Do any of the names or facts mentioned here sound familiar to you? Kind regards Thelma Titley |
