Hi everyone. I am trying to find any information about my great grandmother. She was born ELIZA DOVEY in Battersea 1816, the daughter of JOB DOVEY c1790. Eliza married William Henry Broomfield b 1813 in the New Forest. They had a number of children with my grandfather WALTER JAMES BROOMFIELD b 1860 being one of the youngest. The family eventually came to the Isle of Wight to live and Eliza died here in 1881. The name arose from Brumfield to Bromfield/ Broomfield then Bloomfield.
