I am trying to find out anything at all on Ellen butler, possibly born in Ireland, around 1880, she was put in an Catholic orphanage along with her brother, Robert, sister Lillian, and sister Anne, at the age of 13, Their mother died when they were young and their father William Butler(Bootmaker Journeyman) married again, they were then sent to Montreal Canada, (1892-6). Helen Butler then worked in a Beer-House and she looked after the landladies children, She came back to England around 1900.One sister stayed in Canada and married a Mountie. On the homeward bound ship she meet Christopher Ricketts from Havell Street Peckham who was the brother of my gg father George Thomas Ricketts whom she married in Camberwell in 1906 they had seven children, 4 girls and 3 boys, . They lived at Neate Street, Camberwell, Knatchbull Road Camberwell, Gassiot Road Tooting any information would be greatly appreciated Fred Ricketts
