hi i am trying to find info on my nans family. my nans maiden name was Edna joan carey. (Her married name was fleet)she was born 21 october 1919. her mothers name was Annie carey, formerly jeffries from ireland,I don't know her date of birth if anyone could help that would be good.I know annie carey was adopted. Her father was michael carey again dont know date of birth, im told that they came from cork in ireland. When my nan was born they lived at 37 leslie park rd, croydon. I believe that my nan (edna joan) had a sister who died of cancer, another sister who died young, a brother who died in the war, there may have been 5 of them, but dont have any information. i believe my nan had a niece called carol? My nan also used to talk of a shoe shop that they owned, i think in london my nan lived in tottenham before moving to essex around 1945. |
