I am trying to trace relations from my fathers side of the family.His mother,my grandmother was called Florence and she had a brother called Charles and a sister Lillian, They all came from Devon, I think Appledore or Bideford originally, but then my grandmother married a Taylor and I know all three siblings came to live in Bootle,Livepool. I met a relation from Devon many years ago her age would now be about 65/70 and she was called Jill or Gill. My grandfather I know was a ships carpenter but am not sure whether or not he originated from Devon also. I know my father Gordon Taylor was a bell boy on the big liners with my grandfather who died whilst on board ship on the way to Canada and is buried in Mount Royal cemetery in I think Montreal. Is ther anyone out there who has any knowledge of this family? I would be most grateful for any information. |
