I am trying to find relatives and descendants of Jane Cole my grandmother. I have been told that her family came over from Ireland in the 1800's and settled in Manchester. She was born in 1884 and she lived in Hulme and married Louis Britton, my grandfather. They had seven children and I think she had a sister called Nellie who lived in the Chorlton area. All this is from childhood memory and also information passed on from older members of my family. I would really like to know which part of Ireland my great-grandparents came from and any other information about cousins etc. I believe that my grandmother had a brother Thomas, who emigrated to Australia and died there at a very old age, being one of the oldest war veterans in Australia. |
