Trying to find out about my grandmother's roots; Emily Caroline Costello b 1896 Coagh Co Tyrone, adopted 1897 by Mr & Mrs Crawford. Emily married my grandfather John Anderson b 1896 Barmouth Co Londonderry.

I would love to know if Emily had brothers or sisters, and the circumstances of adoption.

Thank you,

Alison Fleet

Hi Alison, there were and still are Costello's in Bradford Yorks but they predate your Emily as they appear first in the 1861 Census, don't know if there is a connection to N Ireland. They are not my relatives just a name I have noticed, something to bear in mind I suppose.
