I would be grateful for any information about my grandparents or their ancestors - James Hugh Davidson, born 11/3/1882 at 9 White street Govan, Glasgow, who married Catherine Mckay who was born 15/9/1885 at 89 Elder Street, Govan. They married on 12/5/1905 in Govan. James`s father was James Johnson Davidson who was born `1843 in Lerwick, in the Shetlands and died 28/12/1881 but don`t know where. He married Jane Laurenson , born 1842 in Lerwick, and they married on 16/8/1867, probably in Edinburgh. James Johnson Davidson`s father and mother were John Davidson and Janet Hunter. Jane Laurenson`s father was William Laurenson. James Hugh Davidson had brothers Willie (who I believe used to be Postmaster in Lerwick) and George, and a sister Agnes. look forward to hearing from you. |
