A word of warning folks....Hucknall Barford may be right..but Hucjnall basford is not.bearing in mind that the entries in early Censuses were all over the place there is a misspelling here.....If the registration district is Wakefield Yorkshire then it definitley is NOT Nottinghamshire......I actually live in basford in the city of Nottingam..and Hucknall. near Nottiongham is 15 miles away.......nowhere near Yorkshire

I believe that Cornelius was (unfortunately) nick-named something which sounded like Nelly - (Neellie perhaps?)
The enumerator would not have to see all the children but just write down the names so when told of 'Nelly'
he would, of course, assume this was a girl !!!!!

Your Ernest is there also and William, and William Snr. is a Coal Miner.

Everything else fits - what do you think?

Mind you, it wasn't REALLY a mystery as you probably had them already - still I enjoyed finding them!

Can't help with finding them on any other trees though - you will just have to hope a new 'family member' starts on the family history trail !

Annie, of course, was born before William + Mary married so William may not in fact be her father?
