I am looking for any information on ancestors or decendants of William Elliott who was born in Foolow, Eyam, Derbyshire in 1831. He married a Barbara Sarah Smith in 1859 in Bakewell Derbys. They had 7 children: Clara (my GG Grandmother),Harry (emigrated to canada), Annie (emigrated to USA), William (died 1887 whilst on duty), Polly (married a Holloway),Jim (moved to Devonshire) and Sue (married a Cooper and whole family worked for a Sir Thomas Shipstone in Lenton Nottingham). William's father Godfrey was born in Bretton, Derbyshire and his mother Nancy was born in Foolow. William had at least one brother James and a sister Susannah also born in Foolow. Marie |
