Hello. I am interested in finding Cornish Elliotts of 19th century. Spelling of the name varies from Elliot(t)t to Ellet(t). The central and best known to me are: Samuel Elliot (born St Just c1785) his wife Grace (Sandoe) born Feock 1808 and their daughter Johanna born Feock 1836 (all listed in the 1851 Census of St Feock. They had a son, William, born c1834, who migrated to Australia. William sought unsuccessfully for gold at various Victorian diggings; married three times; died young in utter poverty and left many, many descendants. Some migrated to New Zealand others remained in Australia.
