Trying to find Elliott

Hello, I wonder if there are any other descendents of THOMAS ELLIOTT (1820 -1906) from Cardiff out there? He was a soda water manufacturer; we collect bottles with his name on. I am his Great, Great, Great Granddaughter. We have traced the family tree back to 1698. I am also pretty certain I know the link back to the Scottish Elliots, but I am looking for more information on John or Ninian Elliots from Ewes, Dumfriesshire between 1630 and 1700. One of them came down from Scotland with Prince Charles 2nd and fought in the Battle of Worcester, then deserted and settled in the area. I think! The family name was Elliot with one 't' until Thomas added another one. Any contact or ideas welcome.
