I am looking for any information on ancestors or decendants of William Elliott who was born in Foolow, Eyam, Derbyshire in 1831. He married a Barbara Sarah Smith in 1859 in Bakewell Derbys. They had 7 children: Clara (my GG Grandmother),Harry (emigrated to canada), Annie (emigrated to USA), William (died 1887 whilst on duty), Polly (married a Holloway),Jim (moved to Devonshire) and Sue (married a Cooper and whole family worked for a Sir Thomas Shipstone in Lenton Nottingham). William's father Godfrey was born in Bretton, Derbyshire and his mother nancy was born in foolow. William had at least one brother James and one sister susannah also born in Foolow. Marie |
