Hi Janice

Yes, Dad had a sister called Susanne, but unfortnately I don't know her birth year or district. I know she was younger than Dad, and Dad was born in 1922.

Thanks for your time and effort.

Paul.

Battenburg Report 7 Oct 2008 00:51

Aylestone House only has 2 people living there. William Barnett is a house painter so I dont think its an estate or a hostel.

I found it on Ancestry but have just gone to 1901 census on GR and typed in
William Barnett
1835
birth place Andover and it came up with the right page. Hope you can find it on GR.

Paul

Paul Report 7 Oct 2008 00:09

Yes...

ValT

ValT Report 7 Oct 2008 00:09

Do you have access to Ancestry?

Paul

Paul Report 7 Oct 2008 00:08

Paul

Paul Report 7 Oct 2008 00:07

Val

It won't let me go onto the 1901 censum page on GR!!

ValT

ValT Report 7 Oct 2008 00:07

Another possibility would maybe look at the Electoral Rolls for 1922 , these are usually at the local library.

ValT

ValT Report 7 Oct 2008 00:02

Hi Paul,

In 1901 Aylestone House was occupied by a William Barnett ( on the census it is transcribed Barriett), his wife and son.

If you type in RG13; Piece: 2784; Folio: 93; Page: 47.at the bottom of 1901 census page it will take you to Aylestone House.

Paul

Paul Report 6 Oct 2008 23:54

Thanks for looking in Suzanne.

That's a possibility I'm going have to explore I think!!

Thanks again.

Paul.
