GEOGHEGAN I have copies of documents concerning my ancestors living in Broughton, Salford,in the second half of the nineteenth century. On these documents the name is spelt Geoghegan, Gaygan, and Gahagan all apparently referring to the same family (presumably they simply spelt phonetically) The featured forenames are Thomas, James and Joseph. I am fairly new to family history and am just learning how to find info.so would be grateful to make any contacts.
