Trying to find anybody related to or any information about my Grandmother Emily Witcombe (nee Howells) who was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, circa 1879. She married Austin Witcombe, a policeman, and died in 1943 at Woolton, Liverpool in 1943. Her mothers name was Emma Howells, and her father was William Howells. Emily was one of six children, the other five were:- William (born 1871), John (1873), Harry (1875), Ann (1877), Alice (1880). In the 1881 Census her address was given as 1, Old Coleham, Shrewsbury St. Julian, but the 1901 Census gives her address as 12, College Road, Great Crosby, Near Liverpool, where her occupation was given as servant. |
