Trying to find details of my 2xgreatgrandfather William Hunter. His father's name was also William. William Jnr emigrated to Australia possibly in the 1870's. Would love to know his mother's name and other details of his life in Scotland.

You can goto www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk this site works on credits, but it's not expensive.

It will allow you to search for your ancestors and also immediately view certificates!
