Hi I,m trying to find any information about James Hunter born 1833, in Askrigg. Have no information of family prior to this, only have fathers name of Charles. Can anyone help please?

he should be on the 1841 census should be about 7/8/years old the census would give mothers first name

Hi yes it is Askrigg in Wensleydale, Have found him on all of the later census records but nothing before 1851. thankyou for all the help and advice will keep looking and searching. I have seen a copy of the marrige certificate with fathers name on as Charles but forgot to look at his occupation.Cant find Charles on any of the census records either. They are a real mystery.
