Looking for where William Lack might have moved from to arrive in Newton Bromswold, Northamptonshire/Bedfordshire in 1700s (prob between 1745 and 1770). He was the father of Thomas and Elizabeth Lack and died in Newton Bromswold in 1810. There was no record of his birth or marriage in Newton Bromswold but he would have been born in about 1745. Wondering if there is any history of families moving from somewhere else following work or something. Thomas his son was born in Newton Bromswold in 1770. From 1795 Thomas paid 6d pa to rent small holding including a field called "Lack's Close" and then after 1820 was the landlord of the local pub (The Sun, now called The Swan).
