The Mayerbach's are well documented and go back to Alexander Von Mayersbach from Germany. It seems he was a fake Dr who made loads of money then vanished. Taking with him his cash :-( he sired a huge family and often there were at least 5 to 6 children by generation. Edith was one of 6!!!!

Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 268 Send Message	To add to this name. Alexander Von Mayersbach arrived in the UK in 1770 and bacame a UK citizen in 1786. He then did not know what to do for work so set up as a fake Dr, hell why not he thought. His skill was reading urine to tell you what was wrong with you. He became rich but really did take the P***!! he then died and his decendants became poor. I am related to him way back. I am trying to find relatives from Edith laura Mayersbach (jumping ahead in time). Of course I know my later fathers brother but thats all. Edith 1887 had at least 5 siblings, Authur, Jane, Edward, Emma, Frederick.
