Trying to find McKenzie

I'm trying to find more information about my grandfather's family in North Ireland. My grandfather was Robert McKenzie, b. 1886 in Drumlee (near Moy), Co Tyrone N. Ireland. He emigrated to Canada in 1907 and lived in Victoria, BC His parents were James McKenzie ( b. 1842 at Derryoghill, Co Tyrone) and Elizabeth Jeffs (b. 1850 Derroghill, Co. Tyrone) His grandfather was Samuel McKenzie but that's where the trail dies. I don't know whether Samuel was born in Ireland or Scotland (a rumour has him from the Isle of Skye) or who his parents were. Any information would be great! |
