Member Since: November 2004 Posts: 8 Send Message	Does anyone know any details of Albert Morgan b 1872 to Maria Morgan nee Brown, widow in 1881 census, living in Hackney. Her husband John Morgan b circa 1834, Clifton Bristol, died in 1866. They were married in 1859 in Islington. Their first child, John Charles Morgan b 1860, was my Granddad. According to 1891 census Albert was aged 20 and a "Pianoforte Maker" still living with his mum and older sister Florence in Hackney. I have been unable to find a Birth Certificate for him and would be very grateful for any information pertaining to him. Barry Morgan

	Have you considered this one? Births Dec 1874 (>99%) MORGAN Albert Edgar Hackney 1b 513 Heather, I don't think he was illegitimate - a father is named. Maybe someone with better ancestry sub can find a baptism for you? Jan

	But the father died 6 years before the birth didnt he? Unless mum remarried a man with same surname ....... I spose he could be a grandson rather than a son? No baps coming up on ancestry by the way to a Maria

	Jan - Maria is a widow in 1871 census. There doesn't seem to be a possible father for Albert living with her on any of the census.
