James NELSON James was my great grandfather born around 1835 in Scotland though no idea where! Married AGNES ROBSON (or ROBERTSON) possibly London as I have found a marriage there in 1861. Not sure if its theres or not. All 9 children were born in St Pancras area but Agnes was born in Scotland...according to 1871,1881,1891,1901 censuses...no idea where though. Children were Mary, James, Alexander (my grandad), Laura, Edward, Bertha, Peter, Joseph and Florence (between c1863 and c1883 Short of getting this marriage cert has anyone got these names in thier trees. I now need to find where in Scotland James & Agnes originally came from. We have possibility of Eccelfechan in Dumfries for James (or maybe even Auchtermuchty in Fife - may be Agnes) but this is only on family hearsay..all of who are now dec'd. Whats the best way to go about this as I have no other info. I have a 16yr old son desparate find know more about his scottish roots. Heres Hoping. Janet Gregory (nee Nelson)
