Trying to find Nicholls

I am looking for any relatives of Edith Amelia Nicholls, born 1891 in Rowhedge, Colchester, Essex. My mother is her daughter, born in 1915, but I do not know whether Edith ever married. Edith's parents were John Nicholls, born c. 1861 in Forncett St Peter, Norfolk and Sarah Goddard, born in 1860, in Hawley, Hampshire. Edith's siblings (also born in Colchester) were George, born 1887, Emily, born in 1888,(who married Percy Partington and had had children Ralph and Dorothy), Florence Annie, born 1890, Ethel May, born 1891, Albert, born 1895 and Leonard John, born in 1896. My mother was brought up by a Mrs. Stewart, who claimed to be her mother but was in her sixties when she took Mum on as a baby. I would welcome any info. as to Mum's background. Pat |
