I am trying to trace the family of my grandmother Ellen Amelia Nott b1885 in Bethnal Green London. She had 2 brothers, William & Ernest and 3 sisters, Florence.Maria and Alice.(Although Maria could also have been Miriam) She married Arthur Robert Lamb and had 3 sons, Alfred, George and Leonard. Her mothers name was Rebecca and on the 1901 census, Rebecca is shown as a 39 year old widow. If anyone can throw a little more light on this side of my family I would be most grateful. I have since discovered that the name has been recorded as KNOTT & NOTT. On my grandmothers birth certificate it is Knott but on my fathers birth certificate it shows mothers maiden name as Nott. |
