Thanks for all your help, but I knew that Josiah was born 1754 from the census and couldn't find anymore out then that though I have found his burial place and the headstone is still intact after all these years.

I am still learning to use this site as I am sre many are so your comments
and advice was welcome.

I have now found out that Josiah Riley came over from Ireland and it is believed he came from Enniskillen but I have no evidence to date.

Any further help along the way would be appreciated

As Irish research can be very difficult it would help to know wher you have looked for Josiah, and the other person mentioned on your other thread

Ireland has recently worked hard to gather as much information from all sorts of resources to reconstruct lost material.
