can someone please do me a 1861 census and a 1871 census looking for a susan smith etimated date of birth 1860, fathers given name thomas smith not sure of mothers name or any other siblings, think they was from lancashire area any help would be gratefull thankyou very much sara xx

Have you got her on any census after marriage for example.

Did she marry and have you got the cert giving the name and occupation of her father.

hi no not got her on any cenus we have her marrige certificate for her second marrige which gave us her fathers name as thomas smith the writing is hard to understand but its looks like he did something to with engines sorry we havent got much info.xx

i no she married a francis buckley in the 1880;s and lived in bury lancashire with him had first child in 1887 thankyou

thankyou hun yes this is the right family, i was just wondering were susan came from and if she had any brothers or sisters,

May just be a coincidence but notice in 1891 there is a William Smith living in the same building as Susan Buckley that is a mechanical fitter.

21 years difference in age so maybe not a brother.

Susan's occupation is 'cotton operative?' - if she was working outside the home she would have needed someone close to look after her kids.

21 years seems a big age diffrence it cant be her father because we have him as thomas smith now im confused many thanks.x

think thomas may have been married twice so maybe william was from his first marriage thanks
