I am trying to find out who were the parents of Eleanor Valentine Smith born on 14.2.1859 in Mile End, London. She died in Bow on 17.10.1906. It is possible that her name was Ellen and not Eleanor. She married Thomas Frederick Charlton borh in 1855 or 1856. Any information on E Smith would be much appreciated. It is possible that her father was Charles Smith born in 1837 but I am not sure of that.

Yes, I have got her marriage certificate. She married on August 5 in 1877 Thomas Frederick Charlton, - her father was called Charles Smith.

Charles Smith married Sophia Westrop, Dec quarter 1858, Stepney.
Looking at the census records it looks as though both Charles and Sophia were born in Sible Hedingham, Essex.
By 1871 Sophia is widowed but has her mother, also called Sophia living with her.
