Please could someone look up Edith Hannah Smith for me, she was born in Millom Cumbria, would have been Cumberland then, in 1885, she was baptised on the 17-4-1885, thank you, Wayne. |

This looked like her alright in 1901, but i've just done a search of the IGI and that says Edith Hannah Smith was christened at the Holy Trinity church in Millom on the 17-4-1885, her mother is Elizabeth Hannah Smith, no mention of the father. This is very confusing as i wouldn't have thought there would be 2 Edith Hannah's in the same area, born at the same time, do you think this is possible? |

Hi Wayne. I think the birth is correct. maybe not the 1891 census. The Millom baptism also ties in with the Bootle details. I have just looked on the atlas and Bootle is quite near Millom. Copy of the birth certificate is the best thing. Ethel. |

This looks like Barker Tyson's marriage to Elizabeth Hannah Smith. |

Thank you Ethel you're help is much appreciated, this looks like them alright but some of the surnames are a bit mixed up, that's strange, i wonder why that is? |

Thank you LL, it becomes clearer in the 1901 census who is who, thank you both very much, Wayne. |

Isn't it strange though how Edith is called Smith and not Tyson? Do you think that Barker is not her father and Edith was born out of wedlock? |
