I am having difficulty locating the BIRTH record of Elizabeth SMITH who was born about 1868 in Bisley, Woking, Surrey. I have her on the 1901, 1891 and 1881 censuses, latterly as the wife of Herbert TURNER, and formerly as the daughter of William SMITH and Mary Ann. I have had no success in finding her birth details however. |

Moody Blue comes up with the goods again!! Thank you so much! You will have seen that I obtained Herbert Turner's daughter birth certificate this week which confirmed that Elizabeth Smith was his wife (although the Richard doesn't appear anywhere on the certificate so that might have been the problem in finding details of him in the first place, esp. as there is a Herbert Richard Tuner in Chertsey at the same time (may be a relative, I might find out in time). Haven't forgotton all the other work you did on HR Turner and will get back to it, but I only get limited time each week!! |
