I have my Dad's marraige certificate and Father was Harry Carpenter. I have looked up my Dad's birth and his mum was (Maria Bridget). But I remember my Dad saying something about having a stepbrother so, my Gran might have married before and lost her husband, I have only just started building a tree as my father died last year, my Dad never spoke of chldhood much because he lost so many relatives, and of course lost his Mum in WW2, so sorry if I have annoyed you but thought it was like e-mails. please contact me and let me view your tree or you view mine.
