Find Ancestors

Trying to find any information on William Smith possibly born in Derby c.1835 and his son William Henry Smith born 1867 in Derby.
I have found Wm Hy on 1901 and 1911 census but cannot find a positive identification on any previous census, I think he may have been brought up by another member of the family. He was a tanner and lived in the West End of Derby, mother possibly Emma Shipman or Johnson.
