Margaret Report 15 May 2010 13:19

Thomas was born 1874/1875 in Kensington according to the 1881 Census they were living at 9 Raymede St, Kensington. I have been unable to find his baptism. I have been unable to find him after that.

Joseph was born 3 May 1882 and was baptised 4 June 1882 at St Martins Mission Ladbroke Grove the address given was 2 Edinburgh Road and father was named as Joseph an Excavator. I also found the baptism at St Marks, Notting Hill and marked on the side of the page was written Kensal Mission.
In the 1891 census he may have been in an institiution - at the West london district school in Ashford Middx as a 7 yr old place of birth unknown, but may have found him in 1901 in Dorset at Village Street, Gussage all Saints age 19 yrs a boarder and a carter on Farm living with a family named Pettis He gave his Place of birth as Kensal Green.
I don't think they died as children as my Mum used to say that her father William Henry had brothers named Tom and Joe.
The father Job was born, married, and died as Job - certificates, but was sometimes named as Joseph on census or Childrens marriage certificates.
I know about the other children Frederick, Walter, Mary Jane known as Jenny, Elizabeth and Mary Ann who died age 3yrs and would like to find Thomas and Joseph.
Priscilla was born GOODCHILD in 1849 in Marylebone
Here is hoping someone recognises this family

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to reply. I have been away and have just found your replies. Sorry for not naming the family of SMITH which they are.
They are the family in Kensington and you have found Job and Priscilla marriage in 1867 and in 1851 ,and 1881.census.
I had found the entry in the 1911 census also and it could well be Joseph as there is a family connection to milk carriers on the Goodchild side of the family.
One more plea please does anyone have access to Ancestry to look up the marriage of Joseph Smith and Georgeina Pettit in June Q 1905 in Kensington.
Thank you all once again
Maggie
