I have looked and found a birth for George Augusta Smith june 1910 and a marriage for a George A Smith sept 1945....Please would someone be able to look at these for me and see if their fathers are mentioned. Before I send for certs.

The William John with George in 1911 would be his brother.
You would need the birth cert to be sure of the father.

I don't think you need George's birth or marriage cert to find his father's name with the marriage and 1911 information above. You would be better to get the marriage cert of William to Emma Pusey, in order to follow the line back.

I agree with Brummiejan. I think the forward line is pretty much proven, so get William and Emma's marriage certificate first - you can always fill in the details of George's birth and marriage later.
