I can't a find a birth in Exeter for a Thomas William Smith between 1872 and 1874. Only two in Devon - March 1872 St Thomas and 1874 Barnstaple. St Thomas is much nearer to Exeter than Barnstape. |

Barnstaple is North Devon and on the opposite coast to Exeter (which is South Devon). |
