My gt.granmother Grace Smith b,1844 died and was buried in
Norwood Cementery in 1888. What are the chances of the grave
still being there and who would I need to contact to find out about
what area it could be in

I just put Norwood cemetery in google and several sites came up this being one of them.

Sorry Where is Norwood.
Would there be any Family History Societies in that area that would have Mi's. Find my Past has Death and Burial Records.

Was Smith her surname at death as I have put the name Grace Smith into their search database and nothing comes up.

Hi Iris,

Sorry nothing coming up with that name. Having said that the data base holds details of all re-used graves.

If you take a look at that website, their contact details are there. You could always ring or e-mail them.

The only results for Bennett are two graves. The last burial in one was 1854 and the other was 1879, but nothing for Grace.

Chris - Can I ask a question regarding the grave of the
1879 buriel was it in the name of Thomas if so it could
be the one because that was her husband
