She was born c 1859 and married Edward Grayland in 1879. They lived in Maidstone East . I tried the 1861 Cencus but because they had so many children the were on a previous page.. Any help would be appreciated Brenda

Member Since: January 2009 Posts: 73 Send Message	Oh my you have been busy I have just got home so am reading this quickly. Yes Edward was Janes Husband and ohhhhhhhhh the poor girl looks like she was in the poor house. I remember my grandmother saying how poor her mother had been. ~Her mother had 11 children but one died in infancy. I notice in one of Jansmith posts that there isnt a husband listed but five children.so maybe Janes mother never married. I live 5 minutes walk from Mote road but so much of it has been pulled down but will look to see if no31 is still there I doupt it because there used to be rows and rows of hovels where there is a huge block of flats and one of Edwards daughters Ada lived in the middle of them . It was called Whitehall Garden which being what they looked like and how they were rat infested is awful. Thanmk you all so much for your hard work.
