Maria Smith was born (according to census') in Hull, Yorkshire c1852. |

A copy of her marriage certificate should hopefully give you her fathers details which will at least give you one other name as a clue to work with. Witnesses names may also give you further clues to help track her down. |

The 1871 and 1881 census records give a bit more insight into Maria's mother Lucy's husband who never appears on the census together with Lucy. It states that he is a mariner. |
