Emma smith b emma Turner 1828 m Solomon Smith 1848 was in the 1851 census living in Walsall Staffordshire at her parents house with her 2 children . Her husband was living in Bagworth Leicestershire.
emma died between 1851-1855 (solomon remarried in 1855) I would like to find Emmas death certificate. It could be in the name of Smith or Turner- her 2 children born Smith changed their name to Smith in later life. (no sucsess so far Smith & Turner very common names)
Im clutching at straws any help would be appreciated !!!!

The place to look is freebmd....that's where any of us would check.

BUT.........as there were no ages on the index at that time, not sure how you'd know which was correct......assuming of course that she died.

As she was married, there's no reason that I can see for her death to be in her maiden name...............

Puzzled by your comment that her children born Smith changed name to Smith.

Can you confirm that she has not been found on any census after 1851.................

Thanks for reply on trying to find a death certificate for Emma Smith. She was definately not on the 1861 census.I have obtained the one death certificate for Emma Smith in Walsall for this period and it is unfortunately not her. In the 1861 census her children were still living in Walsall with their grandparents not with their father Solomon. Sorry i meant that her children changed their name from Smith to Turner (1st noted on their marriage certificates)
