Find Ancestors

i have a Alice Smith on my tree ,1901 census shows her aged 9 Battle sussex ,BMD shows her born 1890 Battle sussex daughter of George Smith b 1863 Melton Mowbray 1863 & Lily Smith b 1871 Battle

I am trying to find her marriage .
There are 3 possibles .
Henry s Juden in 1926 Battle
Edmund m pierce 1928 Battle
Albert Smith 1911 Battle
How do i find the correct one ?.
I really do not want to send for 3 certificates ,is there any other way .
Hope some one can please advise the next step to find the correct groom

You can check on FreeBMD for possible children, after 1911, using both surnames which might help to narrow it down

If I were to guess, I would go for Albert Smith, if only because it's a more likely marriage in view of age. She would be 36/38 for the others, possible but much less likely.

Maiden name of mother of Alice Smith b 1890/2 was Lily Lester b 1871 Battle ,you are correct there ..
Lily Lester second marriage was to a Wood ,these.are my Grandparents

I think perhaps Alice Smith was from the first marriage of George Smith & was step daughter of Lily .

This one has a middle initial

Just a few minutes behind you ,
I think we have found her ,everything points to it .
No wonder I have been confused over who she was ,as 1901 census shows her born Battle ,don't make it easy for us .

If Alice is 2 years old in 1891 then unlikely to be age 9 in 1901

This is why it is so confusing .Ages on census differ .
BUT
I have found a death for a Elizabeth Smith aged 40 Sept 1/4 Leicester 1895 ,who possibly could be first wife of george smith .

Just checked the marriage cert for George Smith & Lily Lester 1899 battle ,he is shown as Widower .

My money is still on Alice Lester being the right one for the 1901 census


Only way to prove it is to buy the birth cert but she died in 1902
