Julia Smith - born in Poole, Dorset 1938, educated at Parkstone Grammar and then at Avery Hill Teaching College [circa 1959 -61]. Then taught at Kemp Welsh Secondary School. She also worked at the SANDBANKS HOTEL, POOLE, DORSET and played with Poole Borough Band. She was my mother, and sadly died in 1984. My brother and I would very much like to hear from other relations or anyone who knew her or other members of our family. Her parents were Gertie Smith [nee Barnes] of Poole/Bournemeouth and James Albert Smith of Ipswich [who was a CPO in the Royal Navy until about 1934-36].
