Trying to find Smith

Hello All. I have just recived the Birth Certificate for my father,so I can now ask a few more questions. John Henry Lyons Smith born 10 Feb 1913 at Edingley Nottinghamshire (near Southwell). Mother Kate Smith, domestic servant ( no father's name but it is on John's marrige certificate, so his parents may have married later). Kate's family is shown on the 1901 census for Edingley, and her father name is shown as Arthorn, but that I think is a typo as his name in the 1891 and 1881 census is shown as Orthorn Smith, born c1840,Kate's mother's name is shown as Lydia born c1853. With that more detailed information, can anyone help me locate this Smith family. ps There are a number of children in the three census's covered but I still have to sort them out. I look forward to hearing from anyone who may help me fill in my fathers side of the family tree. regards chris smith |
