Hi Everyone I am desperate to find information about my great grandfather HENRY CHARLES SMITH. He married Fanny Woodward in Bristol in 1868 - age given as full.( Fanny was born in Stinchcombe - Gloucestershire) Henry was a steward in the Merchant Navy. They lived in Cardiff in 1881 and had one daughter Rose Fanny aged 8. They then moved to Liverpool and had 3 further children Thomas Henry - my grandfather, Emily and George. Henry Carles died between 1886 and 1990 and his wife re-married.(Charles Strode)I can't find Henry's birth ( his father's name was also Henry Charles) or his death.I have treid all the merchant navy records and the National Archives - No Luck!
