Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Trying to find more information on my husband's G Grandfather, John Eli Smith and GG Grandfather John Smith. I think John Eli was born in 1831 in Shoredith or Stepney, East London. Baptised 1836 St Matthew, Bethnal Green. He was a Tailor. John Smith was a comb-maker at the time of John Eli's Marriage in 1853. They subsequently moved to High Wycombe and operated a Tailoring Business from there. Carol Grimston
