Emily Report 10 Mar 2010 01:00

HI Michelle

Is it possible that you could do me a 1901 census look up please.

It is for Daniel Herring he would be approx 85 and born lowdham, but i believe at the time of the census he was living at Heanor.

I think it is possible that he was living with his daughter Emma but she was married at this point so wont be under herring. Possible name is Litchfield but i am not 100%

Hope you can help me.

Thanks Emily

Nichola

Hi can you remind me if you have checked the 1911 for Robert?just wondered what his birthplace was listed as on there?
Just a thought are you certain Robert's parents were from England?Maybe they were Irish?or Scottish? Might explain why they have been so hard to find.
Let me know re 1911...and give me details again of year of birth for Robert and all details from the marriage cert...witness names also and i will look again.

Hi Michelle
Have you managed to find out anymore on Robert Keith Macquire ( Muguire). I know it must be difficult as quite a few of us have looked for him in the past. Could you let me know if we should just give up or what else we can do to find him. Thank you Nichola

Hi I I wondered if you would look up William Warner from Camberwell
I have just received the marriage son George Warner married Louisa Clarke 20th February 1870.
Their son Thomas was born 16th April 1877, and married Florence Johnson 1897.
Thank you

Jill

Jill Report 21 Feb 2010 22:46

I will keep in touch, did you have any luck in finding out if Rebecca Clarke was related to Louisa Clarke?

***Michelle***

***Michelle*** Report 21 Feb 2010 22:16

Jill

Yes really certs all the way is important in research. I suggest birth cert for Thomas's parents and then if all ok get the marriage cert for George and Louisa to ensure father's are the noted ones.
Let me know the results...cross fingers for you.

Hi Michelle that info is great, If i got the birth cert for Thomas John Warner who married Florence, first then that will be a definate for his parents as that will confirm that George and Louisa are definately his parents what do you think.

Yes maybe as Louisas husband George died quite young she probably did need help maybe he was ill. I still would like to trace georges father but not sure if you can get anymore info on him as not sure when he died. He was born 1848 and was deceased when his son Thomas married 1897 so somewhere in between. thanks jill

Jill

Not 100% positive that is your Lizzie but area of the school covered Camberwell and details matched...i am guessing the mother couldn't manage all the children at home on her own? Most of the girls in the school went on to work in the local area as servants.
Don't know whether the boys would have gone there?I presume not they would have stayed at home then gone to work to help the mother i presume when they were around 13 or so.
What other info did you require?

Hi Michelle thats amazing would lizzies 2 brothers William and Thomas have gone to this school too, do you think or can you get any more info on this please. I have had some really good luck in tracing my nans side of the family, (Irene Doris Ellis she married James Charles Warner in 1940) I have had contact from Leslie Herbert born 1947 he has turned out to be my mums first cousin. His nan Clara and my mums nan Eliza Ellis were sisters. He has sent me some extracts from the Memoirs of Grace Poulton who is his mothers sister.
If you can find any more info i really would appreciate it, if you can spare the time that is!! Thanks again for your kind help Jill
