Can anyone who as access to a BMD for Canada please look up to see if there was a Lemuel William Hampson born in 1883.

I think he must be the right one, Richard. There isn't one on the 1901 Canadian census.

Thankyou all for info. The Lemuel William Hampson born 1883 Ecclesall Bierlow is my Grandad, He did go to Philadelphia in 1901 and returned sometime befor 1905 when he married my Gran. He was killed in the steelworks Sheffield in 1917. I have found his birth, marriage and death. It is this other Lemuel William Hampson born also in 1883 who went out to Canada in 1920 that concerns me because there was no other Lemuel william Hamson born in England other than my Grandfather. I found a William Hampson born 1883, on an incoming ship from Quebec Canada, hence wondering if there was a birth for a Lemuel William Hampson in Canada. I am under the impression that the Lemuel William Hampson born 1883 travelling with Bella Hampson was travelling on my Grandads passport.. Certainly no marriage to this Bella Hampson in the BMD,
Any ideas please.
