ELIZABETH GALLOGLY: Was my great-aunt Irish?
Elizabeth Gallogly (born c. 1885) married my great-uncle, Ernest Poole (born Darwen 1882). Sadly, he died aged 25 in 1907. I have been trying to locate her in the 1891 and 1901 English Census records but can't seem to find her. I understand that Gallogly was an Irish name so might she have been in Ireland at the time? Can anyone please help me try and locate her background?
She had two children (Harold and Florence) by Ernest before he died. At some stage she emigrated to America and 'married' (either before she went or after she arrived) an Englishman, John Sutton (or Hutton).
Please can anyone shed some light on her background?
Or on what happened to her children in the USA?

Many thanks! I had a suspicion she might have been of Irish descent.
I know that my mother's uncle Ernest (Poole), Elizabeth's husband died in 1907 but, so far, I have been unable to find out when or if she married John Sutton(or Hutton) or when she emigrated.
Has anyone found anything about this please?
I have looked on the Ellis Island site but can't find either her or John Sutton,
nor her children Harold and Florence (Who also emigrated). They must have gone out to America some time between 1911 and 1919.
