The parents marriage could be one of two (you would need to buy one of the childrens birth certs to know 100%)

Crabtree Elizabeth Rochdale 8e 93

Kershaw Robert Rochdale 8e 93

Marriages Sep 1870
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kershaw Robert Rochdale 8e 143
LORD Elizabeth Rochdale 8e 143

I Personally think its the Crabtree one due to Mary Ellen being born 1869 and her birth looks like 1868.

Hi Lesley
thankyou
I had not seen the one you have found, and in fact it is the only one there seems to be!!

Had I asked you before to look for the 3 brothers in the army? if so I am sorry I had not remembered.

The info I was given today is very patchy but it stirred me to try to get help again to find frances.

thanks again
cathy

Catherine

Have you seen the I.Wight marriage -

Marriages Dec 1924 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keegan Francis P Redstone I.Wight 2b 1584

Redstone Gabriales A R Keegan I.Wight 2b 1584

Think he was born too late for the WW1 - and I have searched for the brothers before in the WW1 Records.

Other than this you have a tall order on your hands. Its not possible to search every year and Keegan is a fairly common name.

Hi Lesley
I wonder if you might try to find a record for me? I have tried everthing I can think of but no success.

my grt uncle Frances Patrick Keegan b.1907 Houghton le Spring,Co.Durham. apart from his birth record/cert there is no trace of him anywhere marriage or death !!

I have been told by an elderly relative that he went in the army and was posted to India with his brothers Joseph b.1901 and Michael b. 1904. between wars.

I know it`s very little to go on,but I am hoping you may be ble to pull something out of the bag !!
thankyou,cathy

I suggest your only option is to use the 1911 census. There is a child born 1910 in bermondsey and also a boy aged 7 in Lewisham. i would check whether any of these two had a father named Henry who was a labourer.

This is really your only option.

hi lesley

was wondering if you could help me please i am rtrying to trace my father in laws family his name was john bell bell 10/3/1940 but cant find his birth registered anywhere. he had a sister hilda born 1933 in bermondsey london and an older brother george born 1931 he later died. there mother was a louisa florey and she married a george bell in 1930 in bermondsey london but i have manage to find louisa family but not george he was 25 when he married so he would have been born about 1905 on the marriage cert his father was named as henry (deceased) but we are not sure if his name was this or william and i have been searching for over a year now but know joy and my father in law cant help me at all so maybe you could
