Going back to the beginning of the thread, this is the marriage which Kelly has as they were listed as parents on her grandfather's birth cert in 1915, Thomas H King.

"Marriages Sep 1912 (>99%)

King Walter Waller Camberwell 1d 1711
Waller Esther E King Camberwell 1d 1711

4th august 1912, walter king 19 yrs greengroser father thomas king (dec)

esther elizabeth waller 20 yrs father william waller, coal porter"

The age is a few years out compared to the army details.

She then said Esther died 1919 and he remarried.

Deaths Dec 1919 (95%)

King Esther E 28 Camberwell 1d 854

Marriages Mar 1920 (>99%)
King Walter E Faulkner Camberwell 1d 1268

Without reading back through all the thread, do you have the 2nd marriage cert to check his age?

Flick

Ancestry shows the address as Parkstone Road

1911 census may be your best bet, as it was his address when he married Nellie Sophia in 1911

hey jan thanks so much for that,
i never give it a thought, he had a smallholding in kent, and had pigs there. and i know he had quite a bit of money, as when he died lydia gave her son fred £4,000 to buy a place just round the corner in downe kent, it had 4 acres.
so i would have thought he must have left a will,

how cleaver are you, thank you so very much, i will of course let you know
how i get on i am going to give them a ring now
thanks again, at last something to smile about ha

have you tried to look for a will might be worth a trip if you are going into London

**"They are held by the Principle Probate Registry on High Holborn, London, and can be searched Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. There are registers, or calendars, as they are known, for each year, and they list all wills proved, the value of the estate and who the executors were. You will need to quote a reference number should you wish to order a copy of a will, which will set you back £5."**

They are available at the Principal Registry of the Family Division, First Avenue House, 42-49 High Holborn, London WC1V 6NP. Tel: 020 7947 6980, web site www.courtservice.gov.uk/cms/wills.htm.
I have been there not far from Holborn underground.May need to search upto a few years after death date
As it says cost £5 and can get them when you are there.
