I am searching for Heather Mcfadyen, born 1950, her mothers name was Susan Bastin or Basten, her dads name was Gordon Mcfadyen. I believe they married in 1948, unfortunatley whilst Gordon was away fighting for his country Susan found a new love so Gordon returned to discover his wife and child gone. He would dearly love to be in touch with his long lost daughter again, but unfortunatley this is proving difficult as i have no experience in the search process and dont know how to go on from here. Heather was born in the Barry Docks part of wales.Any help would be very much appreciated as Gordons health is now failing, thanks in anticipation,Sharon. |

Sharon..... you should be careful, it is not advisable to put names and details up of living people, having been born 59 years ago, there is a good chance this lady may still be alive, I think its also against GRs terms and conditions to post details of living people. |

Even though GR don't abide by their own T&C's, there is no reason why members should not be careful and discreet when dealing with details about living people. |

Thankyou all for the help and the interesting debate! I fully agree Nicky, i shouldn't like to discover such news via an internet site thread, written by a person unknown to me. I had read several threads that were of a simular nature looking for living relatives and thought no more of posting my thread. Im afraid if GR do not clamp down on these threads people, like me , will just follow suit, and the site will become more of a missing persons post ,instead of a research aid for geneology. |
